Project 1, Day 21 Jump Street

Like that starts the final push towards a finished game and in just the first day we’ve already gotten really close!

The programmers managed to fix the VFX with some help, allowing the game to have the dash and punch effects we wanted. They have also done plenty of bug-fixing so that the game runs smoothly.
There was a bug that appeared today though, something with the attacks collisions not working properly, but they are working diligently to fix it. Though with all that they’ve done for the project, I can’t help but worry about how many goats they’ll require as payment.

The artists have finished most of the UI and menu stuff, as well as tweaked the animations a bit. They have gotten very close with everything and only have some issues with alfa maps, but those problems are being solved rapidly.

Us designers have continued to playtest and notify the programmers of any issues we stumble upon. We also tweaked the sound effects a bit to make them play correctly and at the same volumes.

The leads were at a sprint meeting as well, where they presented the current build to the teachers, which was met with no real comments other than that the game looks good. Which is a great success, as something being flawed this late would be difficult to fix.

With that ends the 21st day of work on the project, and only four days remain.
